TR-250

TR-250

The TR-250 is an automatic rice husker for making brown rice samples. These samples are needed for electrical resistance grain moisture testers. To remove the husks (or hulls), simply pour a sample of paddy rice into the TR-250 hopper, close the cover and push the start key. While husking the rice, the brown rice is automatically moved to a separate case where it can be removed for the moisture test. The operation is very clean as the test is completely enclosed with the TR250 cover. Each sample is approx.20g. Using the TR-250 improved the efficiency of an agricultural facility like a rice testing laboratory or grain elevator as it makes it easy to take a variety of moisture measurements since sample preparation is not simplified.

RN-820

RN-820

The RN-820 Rice Freshness Analyzer or “Freshness Meister”, is a joint development between Kett and the Japan Grain Inspection Association. By placing Polished Rice in the measuring tray, adding colour with a pH indicator, then reading it in with a scanner and analyzing the image of each individual grain of Rice, it is possible to manage Rice freshness using images and numeric values. As quantification of the testing process is performed without relying on detecting colour differences with the naked eye, it is thus possible to completely standardize the freshness measurement. The test utilizes a pH indicator specified by the Japan Grain Inspection Association.

Applications: Polished Rice
Measurement method: Involves taking images of Polished Rice grains that have been coloured with a pH indicator, then image processing and determining their freshness using the dedicated software “Freshness Meister”.
Product downloads: RN-820 brochure, RN-820 manual
Product type: Inspection instruments
Display data: Measurement Results: Sample ranking and average pH, pH value of individual Rice grains. Graph: pie graph and histogram showing pH distribution. Image: color image and scan image of Rice grains. Numeric information: sample statistical data
Measurement range: Ranking based on freshness standard set by the Japan Grain Inspection Association. It is also possible to rank according to user defined settings.
Measurement time: 72 grains/approx. 10 min

OT-300

OT-300

The OT-300 Harvest Monitor assists in determining the optimum time to harvest Rice. From the day Rice sprouts, it is necessary to measure the Rice Paddy’s ripening. When the cumulative temperature reaches 1,000 °C, the Paddy is at its peak for harvesting. There is a real danger, however, of harvesting too early or too late. Harvesting at the appropriate time guarantees the best yield and quality. With the OT-300, simply set the Rice Paddy yield just once and it will automatically measure the cumulative temperature and display the optimum time to harvest.
